Ann began her career with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1972 and was admitted to the partnership in 1983.  In 1989, she resigned from the firm to establish a practice specializing in tax and financial planning for both business and individual clients. On November 1, 1991 she, Ronnie Batchelor and Franklin Roberts formed the existing firm.

Ann has earned the CFP designation from the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners.

Ann is a member of the Raleigh Professional Women's Forum.  She has served as a member of the Tax Advisory Board for the N.C. Department of Revenue and is a member and former president of the Wake County Estate Planning Council. Ann is active in a number of charitable organizations, including 20 years of volunteer service to The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, in support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Ann received a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ann retired from Batchelor, Tillery & Roberts, LLP at the end of 2019.
